A personal project exploring transgender identity. The moth is a symbol of transformation, developing from a vulnerable caterpillar to a creature capable of flight, mirroring the journey from dysphoria to euphoria. The mask is on a papier mâché base with quilted and hand-embroidered wings, and batik and needle-felted embellishments.
